Johnsons are currently recruiting a class 2 HGV driver to join our friendly team.

The Company

Johnsons of Deddington are an independent, family run Timber & Builders merchant established in 1937.  We pride ourselves on providing superior levels of service to our customers.

The Role

As a HGV driver you will be responsible for the transport and delivery of goods to customers in a safe and professional manner.  As a driver for Johnsons the successful candidate will be an ambassador for the company and be customer facing on the front line.  You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. 

Deliveries will be carried out in a variety of vehicles such as 18t dropside with crane, 7.5t tipper vehicle and a 1.5t flatbed van.

As a small company our staff will carry out other duties outside of their main job description.  Other duties include, but are not limited to:

• Serving customers in the yard.

• Receiving deliveries.

• General maintenance when necessary.

Skills

• Cat C HGV licence (essential).

• Driver CPC (essential).

• FLT experience.

• Lorry mounted crane experience.

• Excellent teamwork.

• Flexibility.

• Health & Safety awareness.
